Kate and Rhett both got ready at Erravilla, so they were on strict instructions on not coming in contact with each other on the day, which is always a nice thing, but Rhett went one step further and didn’t see Kate for a week – how amazing is that?
The day went without a hitch in the morning, the boys got ready and we went out into the filed to do some photos of them all as well as utilise the house as a backdrop. The bride prep was also a smooth task, with all the girls looking amazing on the day.
Kate being close to her father, we also captured some amazing photos of their 1st interaction once dressed, we all got emotional about this. I must admin, Kate’s dad’s hat looked pretty cool and he definitely fit the cowboy look and feel, it’s almost as if he just walked off a photo session from RM Williams catalogue.
3pm came and it was wedding ceremony time, as as we were walking towards the immaculate wedding ceremony set up at the back of the property in among the trees it started to rain. So this created a bit of an obstacle for our 120 odd guests. We had to delay the ceremony for about 30 mins, and also decided to have the ceremony in the reception marquee, but as the room was ready the sky became clear, so we had the ceremony outside in the end.
With some man made rain (Rhett’s eyes) the ceremony was over with a lot of emotion, it’s obvious that these two have an amazing bond between them and that there is nothing but happiness ahead.
Our photo location was limited to the property so we took the two cars that Rhett built and the red Mustang wedding car was a gift restoration by Rhett for his wife. We nearly didn’t have it ready, but with the determination from Rhett and his best mates, they got it all done the night before.
The red Ford Mustang looked awesome on their wedding day, it was a perfect wedding car for them, they even managed to have a race (sort of) and a burn out session.
Their marquee wedding reception looked amazing, with the help of Kate’s sister, the plan came to magical country look which is what Kate wanted.
Having a marquee wedding is a lot of work, as you have to provide everything, power, cutlery, tables, toilets, glassware, decorations, dance floor and more and more stuff, so to get it all right takes a lot of planning, so well done Kate for making it all happen and accommodating your wedding guests perfectly.
